PlantLux works by using the light sensor on your phone to measure lux, which is the official unit for light intensity on a surface. The app also contains a vast number of common and uncommon houseplants with their recommended light ranges, and lets you easily search to look up your plant.
The app is made as simple and user-friendly as possible — no nonsense, just straightforward measuring and plant look-up. It includes a feature for measuring the average lux value over time and saving that value, so you can easily compare your readings later when searching for plants.
